Some Advocates of Bar Association Bangalore Give A ‘ Casteist ‘ – Obituary To A Living Fellow Advocate of Backward Community For His Remarks Against Gita.
Some Advocates of Bar Association of Banglore (mis)using their Freedom of Expression as guaranteed by the Constitution of India U/A 19 gave a casteist- Obituary to a living fellow Advocate Prof.Ravivarma Kumar, who belong to OBC community for his rational & truthful remarks criticising Gita which holds inequality of varna in the name of dharma and propounds war.
On 18th of Jan they declared him dead with photos posted on notice board and performed superstitious rituals in the Bar Association Hall in the Civil Court Premises The same has been reported by ‘ The Hindu ‘ Bangalore.
Prof. Ravivarma Kumar is a renowned senior Advocate, who has successfully dealt a number of cases pertaining to ‘ Social Justice ‘ of SCs,STs & OBCs both in Supreme Court Of India and High Court, Bangalore.
The undemocratic attitude of Advocates who resorted to such orthodox and superstitious mental practices has no place in a ‘ Democratic Society ‘ which rests on golden principle of Equality-Liberty-Fraternity & Justice.
Such practices indicate towards ‘caste discrimination’ violation of the Dignity, Right to Life ( Art 21 ) & Right to Equality of Opportunity ( Art 16 ) guaranteed in the Constitution of India.
There are enormous reports from the legal fraternity as to how the Advocates belonging to SCs,STs, OBCs are discriminated by their own colleagues and had to face a non-congenial ‘ free & fair ‘ environment in the institutions of ‘Apostle of Justice’.
The above incidence once again propounds the need of
- All India Judicial Services ( Art 312 )
- National Judicial Commission with representative of BahujanSamaj, and
- Reservation in Judiciary ( On lines of South Africa, America & Britan )
Nothing less than the above will make the institution of Justice truly Just.
Moreover our SC,ST,OBC & RMs Advocates are also requested to realise that only by “ Ambedkarism” and Bahujan Movement based on it can emancipate ourselves.
Let us become the ‘ Advocate’ of the dream of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar who will not only realise ‘Socio-economic ‘ justice for the insulted and oppressed People of India but establish a ‘ New Human Order’ based on Equality, Liberty, Fraternity & Justice as envisaged by our Constitution
